Senior UX/UI Designer
Ever since I can remember I’ve been a man in motion.
My love for art started with an early obsession with animation. The Smurfs, Gumby, Thundar the Barbarian and Scooby Doo defined my childhood. Sure, the plot lines and characters changed with the years, but my fascination with telling stories through vibrant, colorful imagery never waned. And, in time, animation went from being my passion to my job.
My first foray into the world of art and design started with designing and creating cartoon shorts. But like many creative professionals my career path has taken more than a few turns over the past 18 years. In that time I’ve witnessed countless shifts in design trends, technologies, and consumer habits—and I’m proud to say that I’ve been able to change as rapidly as the field. My training in animation gave me a keen eye for detail and provided the perfect stepping-stone to developing a love for compelling design and typography. My experience with 3D animation technology and Flash paved the way for a passion in development and information architecture. I now apply that passion into high web standards, responsive designs and emerging coding techniques.
Somewhere along the way I’ve picked up a few leadership skills too. As an art director I not only manage those I work with, but go out of my way to mentor employees who are just beginning their path as creative professionals. I work in a continually evolving field, and believe in a creative community that collaborates and helps each other grow in conjunction with the mediums we work in.
